What Is Skin Blemish Removal?
I offer two clinically proven methods to safely and effectively remove unwanted skin blemishes: Advanced Electrolysis (Diathermy) and Cryotherapy.
Advanced Electrolysis
Uses a controlled electrical current which produces heat, this is then used to remove or cauterise the blemish with precision. I use the leading UK electrolysis brand Sterex. A new sterile needle is used for each treatment.
Cryotherapy
Uses compressed Nitrous Oxide gas under high pressure, applied with millimetre precision to freeze and destroy blemish tissue. The CE marked, FDA cleared Cryosthetics device destroys the tissue by freezing the inter-cellular fluid, forming ice shards and crystals which rupture the cell membrane, thereby destroying the cell. This means there is no collateral damage to neighbouring healthy tissue.
Both methods have been used in medicine for many years and have, in recent years, become available within the field of aesthetics as these treatments are no longer available on the NHS. Advanced electrolysis and cryotherapy are highly recommended for blemish removal for their accuracy, effectiveness, safety and minimal downtime. The Beauty Suite is approved and licensed by the local Environmental Health department for these treatments.

This treatment is ideal if you have:
Advanced Electrolysis treats:
Seborrhoeic Keratosis - also known as age spots/liver spots and are common on the back and torso as we age.
Sebaceous Cysts - a blockage in the hair follicle causing a lump under the skin which can increase in size.
Syringoma - harmless growths found in sweat ducts and are often found below the eyes.
Xanthelasma Palpebrarum - yellow fatty deposits on the eyelids which can be (but not always) a sign of high cholesterol.
Cryotherapy treats:
Flat pigmentation and sun spots - areas of brown pigmentation due to sun damage commonly seen on the face and back of the hands.
Some seborrhoeic keratosis - as above
Please note: For best results it is recommended that skin tags and milia are treated with ThermaVein.
I am unable to remove moles as I am not medically qualified to diagnose a mole as benign and therefore safe to treat.

During Treatment
Electrolysis:Can be slightly uncomfortable but typically doesn't require numbing. For larger blemishes or sensitive areas (eyes, nose, lips) you may wish to consider the use of an anaesthetic cream such as LMX4 or Emla. This can be ordered from on line pharmacies.
Cryotherapy:Feels very cold with a stinging sensation which is normal. Anaesthesia is not required. There is a risk of blistering.
Some blemishes may require more than one session for optimal results.
Aftercare & Recovery
Mild redness for up to 24 hours (perfectly normal)
Small crusts form within 2-3 days - allow them to fall off naturally
Crusts typically disappear by days 5-7
Following cryotherapy, treated areas may temporarily darken but return to normal within 4-6 weeks
Apply SPF 50 once crusts have gone to prevent hyperpigmentation
Avoid swimming, exercise, steam, heat treatments, and sun exposure for 48 hours after your treatment
Pure mineral makeup only until fully healed
Vitamin C supplements can aid healing
Following electrolysis treatments you'll receive a little pot of aloe vera gel to apply for 2/3 days.
Written aftercare instructions are provided for all treatments and a date set for a follow up appointment.

BLEMISH REMOVAL FAQ’s

A: Electrolysis can be slightly uncomfortable, similar to a tingling sensation. Cryotherapy feels very cold with mild stinging. Anaesthetic cream is available for sensitive areas if needed.

A: Results are typically visible once the treated area heals (5-7 days for crusts to fall off). Some blemishes may need multiple treatments for complete removal.

A: When aftercare is followed properly, scarring is extremely rare. Both methods are designed to minimise any damage to surrounding tissue.

A: Pure mineral makeup can be worn, but other makeup should be avoided until the area is fully healed to prevent infection and ensure optimal results.
