Plasma Pen Fibroblasting

What is a Plasma Pen?

There are many up and coming companies offering plasma training, with vast differences in their training programmes and prices. Having worked in the NHS for 15 years as a therapist and completing a Master of Science degree during this time I have always strived to maintain exceptional high standards not only in my work but in my choice of supplier. After months of research I chose Louise Walsh International for their German manufactured and CE certified device. Plasma Pen by Louise Walsh Int. is the world's leading, most advanced and sought after plasma device for non-invasive soft-surgery, fibroblasting sublimation treatment, non-surgical blepharoplasty, dynamic skin-lifting, skin tightening and rejuvenation.

As we age our dermal layer of the skin thins, less collagen is produced, elastin fibres wear out and these changes in the scaffolding of the skin cause it to wrinkle and sag and to lose its laxity and texture. This revolutionary treatment is specifically designed to dramatically repair, reverse and mitigate these effects and deliver a more youthful appearance using state-of the-art technology, proven science and best practice technique.

The Pen itself converts electrical energy into electrostatic energy which is transmitted to the applicator probe by impulse. A charge collects and the ionisation of oxygen and nitrogen in the air causes a plasma flash (gas) or arc to be discharged all within millionths of a second.

The plasma flash transfers to the skin with absolute precision and does not harm any of the surrounding tissue. The probe itself does NOT touch the skin but hovers just above. This causes an immediate contraction and tightening of the skin. This thermal disruption later causes excess skin to dry superficially into tiny crusts (the little dots you see) which are shed around day 5/6 post treatment. Simultaneously, the plasma flash penetrates the fibroblasts - the cells responsible for producing collagen and elastin. Fibroblasts rarely undergo division unless they are stimulated by a wound healing process or an inflammatory response and we do exactly that with plasma pen which is why we call it fibroblasting.

Results continue to be seen over the 12 weeks following treatment during which time new collagen and elastin is laid down. Effects last around 3 years although many results are permanent.

The Procedure

If you would like to know more about the Plasma Pen treatment or to see how plasma can work for you then please book a free consultation. If you would like to proceed we will carry out a thorough assessment, ensure you have no contraindications and go through the aftercare. On booking your treatment a deposit is required to secure your date and time.

The treatment is carried out lying on the couch. A topical anaesthetic is applied to the chosen area. A new probe is used for each client.
